Data Driven Instruction

When talking about data, what we're really talking about is feedback loops. What systems can we create in our classroom that give us continuous feedback on student learning? This data, this feedback, is what we use to monitor our instruction. If all students are doing well, that means we've planned a thorough lesson and students are working towards mastery. If our data is showing less than desired results, that tells us to go back and adjust our instruction.
