Stop, Reteach, and Listen


When monitoring student work for misunderstandings, we need to be disciplined about preventing all mistakes from creeping up. As soon as we notice multiple students making the same error(s), we need to stop, reteach, and listen for correct answers. When misunderstandings creep up, we should pause all activities and reteach the information in a new way. Before moving on, always check for understanding and ask multiple students to prove their understanding for the group.
